FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q- Can everything a bookkeeper does be done remotely?

A- Absolutely! Between smart phones, remote desktops, video chat, email, and many other technologies available today, all bookkeeping items can be done remotely without you ever having to step foot outside your business.

Q- How will a bookkeeper help my business?

A- One of the things you will notice after hiring a bookkeeper is the amount of time that has freed up for you to be able to focus on other things in regards to running your business. This lets you focus more, and miss things less. Also, the peace of mind that someone knowledgeable now has your business in their hands and your business’s best interests in mind. Lastly, having a second pair of eyes to watch how much your business is making and how much it’s spending can save your business thousands of dollars.

Q- What is the difference between accounting and bookkeeping?

A- A lot of people think bookkeeping and accounting are the same profession. This is not the case! While a bookkeeper is responsible for the recording of your financial transactions, an accountant is responsible for interpreting and analyzing your financial data. A bookkeeper will be the person who assists you with the ongoing financial recording, transactions, and compliance that keep your business running smoothly. Accountants have a strong understanding of tax law requirements and will be best to assist you in this area. Instead of perceiving a “bookkeeper vs accountant” situation, it is important to understand that your accountant and bookkeeper work best together. A bookkeeper provides tax support for you, the business owner, so that your accountant spends less time preparing your taxes, which ultimately saves you money.

My Story

My Story

As a transplant from Nebraska into Colorado in 2001, I have grown to absolutely adore Colorado and all of its unmatched beauty.

The mountains still take my breath away and make me daydream in awe. One of my favorite past-times is exploring around various river spots with my children, collecting the most colorful and interesting rocks we can find. When I'm not digging around in my garden or tending to my backyard chickens, I'm working with my husband on one of our many house projects. Living with my family in, what is in my opinion the most beautiful state in the USA, is one of my dreams come true. Having my own bookkeeping business is the other.
